Just because an institution which performs a valuable function exists, does that mean it is immune from all criticism? If a problem is hidden instead of being openly reported and discussed, what chance is there it will ever be corrected? Anyone who lives long enough to understand a little of human nature knows the answer to that one.

A number of years ago there was an expose of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. No one doubts Walter Reed is an outstanding hospital which does extraordinary work, yet it turned out some veterans were receiving shockingly bad treatment, a condition which had gone on for years. Once this was accidentally revealed immediate corrections were instituted. Going with the flow can sometimes wash you down the drain.

I love IA too. I spend a lot of time here, if only as a lowly review writer. But as a religious reader of this forum it has been easy to see problems of communication exist beyond the slow or non movement of files.

It is the volunteer content contributors who diligently vet films for PD status, thus helping to keep IA's fat out of the fire. It is the volunteer content contributors who root out copyright violations, and report them to admin for removal. It is admin that sometimes fails to remove them, even after multiple requests. What more can I say?

Elmagno, I honor and thank you for your contributions, but avoidance is no way to fix a problem.

It would help if the admins would be more responsive to questions posted to them. But they generally aren't and I guess that's just the way it is. You say nothing's been moved for seven days now, but come on, we've both seen periods when nothing's being moved go on for months. It'll straighten out eventually. Until then, we're just gonna have to wait for "input from regular staff" (yes, I brought that up again. I'm not going to let them live that one down!) In the meantime, I would invite you to turn your attention to Community Video and enjoy all the porn, copyrighted movies, and terrorist videos that I'm sure are going to flood that section in the weeks to come, and when I say this, keep in mind that I am being sarcastic.
